Muses musings

I’ve had some interesting ideas recently that I’m plotting and planning, which is exciting. I always like to have SOMETHING on the go at any given time. (Right now I may have too many things on the go but that’s fine. It’s aaaaalll fine. (Queue that image of the dog sitting in a fire-filled room.))

My cat has discovered he likes bread and bread related products, as evidenced yesterday when he stole one of my fancy, buttery croissants from Waitrose that I bought as a treat. The heist happened while I was outside taking a bag to the rubbish bin, so I came back to a happy cat and a semi-gnawed on croissant. I tried to tell him off, but he was completely unrepentant, smugly cleaning his paws as I railed at him.

The thief! (A black cat is half curled up on a blue patchwork quilt, atop a light sage green armchair. His yellow eyes are wide open, pupils just bigger than slits of black, and his tongue is sticking out as he stares at the camera.)

My sequel to The Darkest Woods is in its final round of line editing. I’m hoping to publish it in early July so Watch This Space. I haven’t decided on a title yet, but when I do it will be announced first on my Patreon for paid members, as will the cover art etc.

Hope to see some folks at the library event this coming Wednesday! 🙂
